A 15 x 15 metre cube was manipulated to reflect the narrow splayed local streets, subtracted irrelevant elements removed to allow for screened views and access to light whilst respecting the scale of the sloping road outside.
Offset upper living room o0n the top floor acts as a lightweight lantern to lessen the mass which was offset away from the busy road to give the clients refuge from the passer by. Together all of these human functional elements lead to a purity of form and shape which results in a spatial perception of comfort , refuge and tranquillity.
