The site is located in Glanmire Co. Cork. The approach was to have a design that could be built as a direct labour project. The house is set back from the main road and is slightly more elevated to get countryside views. The shifted roof planes allow for celestory windows to light the triple height entrance space and exposed floating staircase. Curved ribbon windows allow for a softening of the hard geometric lines. Entering through the rear of the building allows you to see the full scope of the house and as you enter the view opens up into the main living areas.
