The site is located in Seafield , Cobh County Cork. The existing estate had a strong preference from the planners to remain intact and no extension should interrupt the streetscape of the existing houses. The approach was to step the rear extension down at the rear to the upper bedrooms sat beneath the existing house so it could not be seen. The 2 angled squares were orientated towards the view which is reflected in an angled scoping roof sitting under 2 squares. The ancillary areas underneath the canopy allow for covered outdoor seating areas also to enjoy the sea views.
